Claudine Sleik is a self-taught artist. Born in 1970 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Claudine took to art as soon as she was able to hold a crayon. But art is just one of her life's great passions. The other being animals. Throughout her childhood, Claudine saught the companionship of animals of all kinds. Their gentle ways, and passionate spirits were something she connected with at an early age. She could often be found chatting away with her cats, the neighbourhood cats, and later her dogs joined in on the conversations. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Claudine's life would be centered around her passion for art, and animals. Combining the two seemed natural. After high school, Claudine attended Langara Community College where she discovered graphic design, and then later Thompson Rivers University where she began her quest for a degree in fine arts. A goal she contiues to work towards on a part-time basis.

Claudine currently works as an advertising sales consultant. She lives in Kamloops, British Columbia with her husband Craig, two cats, Azime and Romi, and three dogs, Lizzy (The Laughing Dingo), Jak and Miss Brassy Pants (shown in her arms above).
